My Thoughts on the Parasite Mutant Demo – A Love Letter to Classic Survival RPGs

Every once in a while, a game demo comes along that hits you right in the nostalgia—Parasite Mutant did exactly that for me.

I downloaded the demo on Steam out of curiosity, but the moment I started playing, I realized I was experiencing something special. As someone who has 100% completed Parasite Eve on the PS1 (one of my all‑time favorite games), finding a modern title that captures even a fraction of that atmosphere is rare. Parasite Mutant doesn’t just capture it—it embraces it.

A Demo That Felt Like a Full Experience

I played through the entire demo and genuinely enjoyed every moment. The pacing, the tension, the combat flow—it all clicked. The main character immediately stood out, with a design and presence that felt both fresh and familiar. The music set the tone perfectly, blending eerie ambience with energetic battle themes. The graphics struck a great balance between modern detail and that gritty, biological horror aesthetic I love.

And the enemies? Fantastic. Creepy, creative, and fun to fight. They gave me the same “what am I looking at?” excitement that Parasite Eve used to deliver.

If I had to grade the demo, it’s an easy A+ from me.

Looking Ahead to the Full Release

Now I’m even more excited for the full game. If the demo is any indication, Parasite Mutant is shaping up to be something truly special—especially for fans of classic survival RPGs with a sci‑fi horror twist.

I played the demo on PC, but I’m really looking forward to trying the console version on PS5 when it launches. Experiencing this kind of game on a big screen with a controller just feels right.

If you would like to try the demo out for yourself, check it out on Steam: Parasite Mutant on Steam

How to Unlock the Infinite Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 2 (1998)

There’s something poetic about turning the tables on zombies with a rocket launcher that never runs out of ammo . In the original Resident Evil 2 for PlayStation, this isn’t just a cheat—it’s a reward for mastering the game’s pacing and precision. ๐ŸŽฎ What You Need to Do To unlock the infinite rocket launcher , here’s your challenge: ✅ Complete Scenario A — either as Leon or Claire ⏱️ Finish the playthrough in under 2 hours and 30 minutes ๐Ÿ† Achieve a Rank A or B (saving is allowed but should be minimal) Once you meet these criteria, you’ll find the rocket launcher tucked neatly into the first item box of your next game. And yes, it melts bosses . Just keep in mind: using it in future playthroughs will lower your rank, so if you’re aiming for bragging rights, maybe leave it in the box next time around. ๐ŸŽฅ Need a Walkthrough?
